Ameya (she/her) is a queer, desi artist from Boston, now based in Brooklyn NY!
She is eager to keep finding new works across the stage and screen. Her performance journey started from a young age in western dance, western voice, and Indian classical voice before finding a way to combine those skills in the theatre! In addition to acting, she has experience with directing, stage management, and choreography (dance, fight, and intimacy). She loves knowing a show inside out!
She earned her BFA in Theatre Performance with a minor in Musical Theatre from Hofstra University, and was able to travel both regionally and internationally throughout her four years for theatre work! Thanks to her international yet very close and supportive extended family that she talks to every day, her dialects have gotten some great training even outside of class.
On the side, she loves photography, learning languages --currently sitting at 4 --, and sports (she will always be proudly from Boston despite living in New York:) She hopes to open conversations about diversity, equity, and social justice in the work that she does.
